Laurier’s Computational Science and Applied & Statistical Modelling (CSASM) series continues with Prof. John McKay of Concordia University, with his presentation entitled The Monster and its moonshine functions. He will discuss the functions that constitute monstrous moonshine and explain the importance of the monster group and its connections with better established parts of mathematics.
