Topic: “Introduction To Python” Speaker: Isaac Ye, SHARCNET Python has certain advantages over traditional compiled languages like C and Fortran, and is seeing increasing adoption among the scientific community. In particular, Python is quite convenient for simple data processing tasks. This introduction to Python is built around a common scientific task – data analysis – and will show a couple of useful examples using relatively simple python programming.
