Topic: “Modern C++: Concurrency” Speaker: Paul Preney, SHARCNET Since the C++11 standard, C++ supports concurrent programming (e.g. memory models, threads, futures, promises, atomics, fences, locks). This talk will introduce concurrent aspects of C++ and present how to exploit such in your research code. Persons who could be interested in this talk are those who are unfamiliar with or new to concurrent programming in C++ and those using pthreads or OpenMP with C++.
