Call for Papers: Workshop on Complexity, Computing and the Humanities

Sponsored by “Complexity and the Humanities” (RDI-SSHRC Project), The Hispanic Baroque Project (a MCRI-SSHRC Project), and SHARCNET (Shared Hierarchical Academic Research Computing Network), this workshop will serve as a springboard to present different approaches to research on the intersections between complexity, computing, and the humanities. The workshop will be organized around invited lectures in the mornings, and short research papers and presentations by participants in the afternoons. Please, submit your paper proposal by sending an email to Elaine McIlwraith (emcilwra@uwo.ca) before May 25th, 2008.

There are five fellowships available for Canadian graduate students. The fellowships will cover accommodation expenses in London and a meal allowance for the duration of the workshop. If you are interested, please, email your curriculum, the name of a referee and the abstract of your presentation to Elaine McIlwraith (emcilwra@uwo.ca) before May 25th.
