Scientific visualization is an important part of HPC
research. SHARCNET has devoted significant resources (in terms of
hardware, software, and staff time) to the visualization cause. Here
at McMaster, we have a dedicated visualization GPU cluster, rainbow,
52" quad-HD resolution monitor, and a stereo display. As a part of
this May’s SHARCFest activities across SHARCNET, this Friday (May
15th) the McMaster site will host a visualization event. It will start
at 1pm and finish around 2:30pm. The event will include live
demonstrations of our visualization hardware and software, followed by
an informal discussion. Refreshments will be provided. We invite all
SHARCNET users interested in visualization to attend the event.
