Speaker: Sergey Mashchenko, SHARCNET This talk will present a few simple strategies for making your serial code run in parallel, faster – something you could do in a single day. The strategies include serial farming (with the important case of I/O bound serial codes), using fully automatic parallelization features of modern compilers, and semi-automatic parallelization of your code using OpenMP and OpenACC. No prior knowledge of parallel programming is required.
