2014 Western Summer Workshops on Scientific and High Performance Computing

The aim of this annual summer workshop series is to provide participants with an opportunity to acquire knowledge and techniques relevant to the scientific use of high performance computing and data processing on modern supercomputers. As well, it is hoped that the seminar series will provide a natural opportunity for interaction and for the development of connections within the diverse Western HPC research community. The workshops will cover topics in numerical methods, high performance computing, and programming techniques that are essential to solving real research problems effectively. The targeted audience is senior undergraduate students, graduate students and researchers who already have an existing background in scientific computing, and would like to learn more or upgrade their knowledge and skills in computer programming.

The format is seminars and hands-on workshops with informal group discussions. Everyone is welcome.
